Ekestra is an extraordinary DJ

Contrary to popular opinion, he gives meaning to the phrase "not all DJ's are the same". He has a strong background in music, as he was raised around all types of music from literally almost every genre from a young age. His family since a very young age has played music together which is where he got his start in music. Since the age of 5 Ekestra has listened to music ranging from the early 1910's all the way up through music that is just being released today.

His first clubbing experience was Traxx back in the mid 90's, where he was introduced to the legendary Mohawk Adam. Ironically this is where he got his first glimpse of DJ'ing. Upon becoming a semi regular there he started asking Mohawk Adam for a couple of songs to be played.  Mohawk showed him briefly how to be a DJ.

Upon graduating from high school, he took the summer off to visit family out of state.

Ekestra has a extended background of entertainment related experiences. He is accomplished in a variety of functions from nightclubs, professional radio stations to record industries, and more. He has gained a wealth of knowledge from being a musician. His experiences, love for the people, and being able to read a crowd, as well as his enthusiasm for music; are all active ingredients that give him the leading, comprehensive edge on music. This is what makes him the DJ he has become today.

Ekestra has been asked to DJ in various places across the United States, and has finished  the process of making his own album consisting of all LIVE remixes of music his followers love. Which in the end proves that he is a major crowd pleaser.
